Perfect

It actually encourages me to read more of my physiology book. Saved highlights across devices, clean design, free trials (whole chapter) of every book. Couldnt ask for more.

Great but ..

This is a very great app .. I like it and I like how it is structured in a good manner. However, there are two tiny points which I wish the publishers will improve: 1. To add more colors for highlighting. 2. To not remove old editions from the database. Actually, I bought an old edition of a book, and when I tried to use the redeem code it didnt work. When I contacted the Student Consult, they told me that my edition is removed from the database, thus I cant get it.

Very well done

Ive used other textbook apps that are a disaster. This is the first one Ive used that can actually replace my physical textbook. Searching, highlighting, making notes, and following the linked cross references are all very easy. The menus are set up very intuitively in a way that minimizes swipes and flipping screens. The fonts and graphics are outstanding.

Best app for radiology books

The app does not have all the modern image interaction gestures (like swipe down to dismiss), but the images in Rumack, Wilson, Charboneau, and Levine are way way better than typical radiology iBook images. The video clips are a bit overcompressed, but not unusably so.

iPad Pro update??

It took them 6 months, I repeat, 6 months to update the apps resolution for the iPhone 6 and 6+. I sincerely hope it wont take them that long to update it for the iPad Pro!! Get your lazy programmers on the job already! Weve paid a lot of money for these books, at least be ready for screen-resolution updates!

Bad, bad bad

Loved the app at first. I use it for medical textbooks. Heres the rub - each time the ipad restarts or the app updates, it deletes all my books from the app. Support says simply redownload the books. Theyre big (500 Mb), so would like to do it over wifi, which isnt always readily available. Which would be workable if the $);:/)&@ things would download. I can get a book to download about 50% of the time! at which point app freezes. Then I have to restart my ipad. Which deletes any books I have managed to successfully download. Ugh.

Perfect

This app works beautifully for my needs. I just want to be able to read textbooks on my phone. The way it pulls up chapters and integrates images is seamless. Basically I love it. I do wish it had a little more functionality such as zooming in on text, but thats me just being nit picky.

Paid for books do not show up

The app links to books for purchase. After you pay, you still get a message that they are not purchased. Contacting them is difficult and they lose your purchase info. Not recommended.

Updated: iPhone 6 Plus support present. Needs iPad Pro.

Needs iPhone 6 Plus support. The entire textbook including diagrams and all text look blurry and unreadable on the iPhone 6 Plus. Update: Needs iPad Pro support.

Best ebook app. Please continue adding new books

Inkling is far superior than other ebook readers. The text is crisp and clear. The figures and pictures are in high definition. No eye strain! Easy to navigate, highlight and annotate. Please continue adding more textbooks.

app thinning? please!?

love the app and the books i’ve bought. but, now that app thinning has been out forever, would love to save some space on my ipad mini (original). please!? please!

Latest update ruined the experience

After updating to 4.0, I cant switch reading the book from iPhone to iPad as it keeps telling me "This book is already being viewed on another device."

Great for text only. Not usable with tables.

The text flows great, but inability to scroll sideways, un-zoom, or use landscape, render tables useless. The tables extend beyond the right margin of the page, and there is no way of viewing the entire table. For an app that is meant to allow access to study or reference textbooks, which are going to be loaded with graphics and tables, this is not forgivable. Sorry. In case this problem is book specific, the text I had trouble with was "Comprehensive Clinical Nephrology" by Johnson. I really want to love this app, and rely on it. But to have to skip material while studying just because of an inability to view the tables is inexcusable. Please allow landscape, pinch/zoom, etc. and fix the problem with material vanishing over the right margin.

Search function no longer functioning

Despite claims that the latest version improved the search function, it actually disabled it. This really limits the usefulness of this app.

Excellent app

very good

IMPORTANT!!

this apps so important for me that i dont know how i can go without. but i find following inconvenience 1. harsh white background gives me headache as i have to read for long hour. if background couldve been changed, would be better. 2. text font size too small for iPhone. i want to change the font size. 3. At least include a feature where i could change the background color or put it in night mode. PLEASE 3. portrait orientation does bot work on iPhone. portrait orientation wouldve been good. please include this feature.

Meh becoming outdated

It is slowly becoming the drm of ebooks We should be able to draw/ write on these books like regular books. This app hasnt had any innovation since it came out Some books dont allow highlighting because of formatting as an "answer" expandable content. Thats lame

The reader displays really nice, but books no longer useful

Gorgeous display. Electronic search. Mobile. No way to print and document why you made the decision you made. Even in a web browser on a computer, try to print anything and they say you exceeded your limit for the day, even when nothing prints. At the national specialty meeting in October, the manager confirmed screen shots are your only documentation option. I prefer a book such as the many books I purchased in inkling, but at work find myself almost exclusively using a different service which pre-digests the information. I am still responsible for the final decision I made, but with inkling cannot document why. The earlier interface was not as pretty, but much more useful.

Good but want more.

The app is much nicer than the webpage version. Easy to find chapters, figures, and easy to use search. 2 colors options for highlighting and an option to underline text would be great. Overall I like this app and it is so much nicer than carrying around a 8 lb book.

New issues on the go

Ive been using the app quite some time now and since a couple of weeks ago the pictures stopped popping out after a while, while using the app. Contacted the support but still not solved the issue. The option of underlining and different colors of highlighting should be added and printing and sharing as well.
