This is the best ebook app for medicine textbooks, especially compared with Kindle or iBooks. Images are high-resolution and allows zooming, and table of content is well-organized which allows for easy navigation. Formatting is also beautiful, and usually consistent with the print book.
My understanding is that Inkling used to produce ebooks in-house, but that is no longer the case. Right now there is a large library of medical books from LWW and Elsevier. LWW books are available from the Inkling website/app, and LWW now also bundle their ebooks with the print books. Elsevier books are available on either Student Consult or Expert Consult websites, and are also bundled with print books. Both publishers are actively publishing on the Inkling platform, so all the latest editions are there. Unfortunately, McGraw-Hill no longer publishes on Inkling, so their selection is rather sparse. Medicine seems to have the largest selection, other disciplines seem limited in comparison.
All in all, the best textbook reading experience on Apple devices, especially for medical textbooks. I hope they can get more publishing deals and expand their library. It would also be nice if there is a more accessible central web store that is updated regularly. Both Student Consult and Expert Consult update their stores with new books on a regular basis, but the main Inkling store front has not been updated for sometime, even though new books are being added.
